Applesauce Baked Pork Chops

These Applesauce Baked Pork Chops are a perfect blend of savory and sweet, making them a delicious and easy-to-make meal. The combination of applesauce, Dijon mustard, and maple syrup creates a flavorful glaze that enhances the natural taste of the pork chops.

Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

Before you start cooking, heat the oven to 375F 190C

On both sides, season the pork chops with salt and pepper

Warm up the olive oil in a big skillet that can go in the oven over medium-high heat

Sear the pork chops for two to three minutes on each side, or until they are browned

Take it off the heat and set it aside

Apple sauce, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, garlic powder, thyme, and cinnamon should all be mixed together in a bowl

Pour the applesauce mix over the pork chops that have been seared, making sure to cover all of them

Bake in an oven that has already been heated for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the pork reaches 145F 63C on the inside

Before serving, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley

Enjoy the Applesauce Baked Pork Chops with your favorite sides
